Founded on Kauai in 2012 by John Genovese Jr. and myself, Malama Auctions brings a fresh perspective to Hawaii's auction scene. With roots dating back to 2004 on this beautiful island, our commitment to the community runs deep. John Jr. has recently transitioned to a well-deserved retirement, entrusting me with the full operational reins since mid-2022.
As the only Auctioneer in Hawaii holding both the Auction Marketing Management (AMM) and Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) designations, along with the esteemed Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI) designation, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to every auction. Beyond auctions, I'm passionate about public speaking, teaching, and consulting for nonprofit organizations.
Currently serving on the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) Board of Directors and as the Hawaii Ambassador, I lead committees dedicated to promoting industry excellence and enhancing auction experiences. My involvement spans prestigious roles like Chair of the Promotions Committee and overseeing critical initiatives such as website development.
Having presented at numerous international conferences, I am dedicated to advancing auction industry standards and sharing insights on effective business practices. The CAI designation underscores my commitment to client relations, business planning, and industry leadership, while the AMM and BAS designations highlight my expertise in modern marketing and nonprofit consulting.
